Baku Court of Appeal rejects Vagif Khachatryan’s appeal

Baku Court of Appeal rejects Vagif Khachatryan’s appeal, upholding the first instance court's decision to sentence him to 15 years in prison.

Khachatryan was kidnapped and taken to Baku in July 2023, in the Lachin Corridor, when he tried to cross to Armenia for treatment. He was found guilty of trumped-up murders in December 1991 in the village of Meshali, Khojaly district. The 68-year-old man did not accept the accusation, demanding to be acquitted.
