The image depicts a dove (traditionally a symbol of peace) with a keffiyeh patterned wing inside a cage, symbolizing the Palestinian people being trapped and unable to escape the bombs and constant shelling. The red elements in the image, resembling poppies, add an additional layer of symbolism. Poppies are not only a symbol of remembrance and sacrifice but are also specifically associated with Palestinian heritage. This artwork is an evocative representation of the current experiences of many Palestinians.
