building in genocide prevention in Iraq.In the wake of ISIS genocides, we saw anenormous grassroots interest in Iraq inending the cycle of violence and promotinga lasting peace. We are now bringing thatwork to the global grassroots. We chose to take the name of the “father ofthe Genocide Convention,” Raphael Lemkin,because of the enormous impact hissociological and historical studies have hadon our approach.As of 2021, the Lemkin Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in theUnited States that works across the worldto help threatened communities inpreventing genocide and other massatrocities.
