Mayya Chaykina

Intern

Mayya Chaykina is a master’s student in law at Sciences Po Paris. Having previously studied law and politics at Cornell University and at the undergraduate college of Sciences Po, her primary focus is on international criminal law and public international law. She has represented France at international legal competitions and has been ranked nationally and internationally as an oralist, subsequently taking on a role as a team advisor on questions related to crimes against humanity, immunity for state officials, universal jurisdiction, treaty interpretation, and the recognition of governments in international law. She is fluent in Russian and French, speaks Spanish and German at an intermediate level, and is learning Serbian.
